PROFILE

Neil joined the Environment Agency in 2004, before this he worked for Bechtel and the Health and Safety Executive. Neil is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.

In his role as Area Flood and Coastal Risk Manager Neil is responsible for the Environment Agency’s overview of flood risk in York, North Yorkshire, Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Neil is part of the Environment Agency’s coaching network.

Neil is married with 2 sons, is a school governor, football coach and Liverpool fan.

In April 2018 Neil was awarded Workplace Wellbeing Index Line Manager Award from Mind for creating an environment that sends a powerful message to everyone that nothing is more important than our mental health.

The Environment Agency was awarded Number One Employer in the Workplace Wellbeing Index for the second year running from Mind for transforming their organisational culture around mental health and creating a positive and safe environment for conversation and support.
