Kate has over thirty years’ experience working within the mental health sector as a registered mental health nurse, and her extensive portfolio of practice includes working within a variety of clinical areas, such as inpatient care and community settings. Her expertise in this sector, along with her passion for mental health, complement the ethos of The Shaw Mind Foundation and, more specifically, the drive to embed preventative approaches to mental illness across education and workplace environments.
Kate is a passionate supporter of the need to improve the mental health and wellbeing of future generations, and believes that by challenging discrimination and establishing meaningful infrastructure within communities we will make sustainable improvements to people’s lives, enabling them to not simply just survive but also to thrive.
