Dr Dominique Thompson is an award winning university GP who set up Buzz Consulting in 2017 to support Higher Education Institutions, the NHS and other organisations in improving how they care for young people’s mental health and wellbeing. She is a national student mental health expert, with a particular interest in eating disorders, having been a member of the NICE Eating Disorders Guidelines Committee.
Dominique is a member of the Universities UK Task Group for Mental Health, and a clinical advisor to several charities relating to young people’s health, as well as for the Royal College of GPs. She is also a non-executive Director on the Board of the 2gether Mental Health Foundation Trust (Glos and Herefordshire).
Dominique offers education and training alongside her consultancy, focusing in particular on supporting young adult mental health issues, and why they are happening more commonly in our society than ever before. She also blogs, writes and comments on related topics, for example in the Guardian, and on the Today programme.
