Dawn joined construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall in September 2014. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Dawn holds a Master’s Degree in HR Management and a postgraduate qualification in employment law. Areas of expertise include diversity, wellbeing, reward, people development, and organisational change.
Dawn has developed a transformational and inclusive culture at Morgan Sindall. Her strategy recognises the wider need to address national skills gaps in the sector by tapping into pools of talent who have not previously considered a career in the sector or that want to balance family life with a rewarding career.
Dawn recognises that change cannot be achieved by just developing a raft of policies, but also requires a cultural shift in thinking and behaviour. This thinking has led her to not only achieve cultural change at the company, but also to be recognised as the Working Mum’s Champion in 2017, at the Top Employer Awards. In addition Morgan Sindall won the top accolade for transforming workplace culture at CECA’s 2018 Inspiring Change Awards and is shortlisted in three categories in November’s CN Talent Awards.
